Ability to rewatch video after completion.

I would like our learners to be able to rewatch / rewind part of a video once it has been viewed but not fast forward and skip through content on the first view. I would like them to be able to skip through content on subsequent views. 

I have tried to achieve this via the player by setting the seeker to allow drag after completion however the full slide needs to complete before the learner can drag and my triggers are set to move to next slide after media completes giving the learner no opportunity to revisit. 

I believe I have seen this achieved before by placing a seeker type object on the media itself and removing the player. Is this correct? 

Any guidance would be hugely appreciated.
