Accessibility on an Apple or Mac computer

Mar 13, 2017

Greetings,

We design out courses and quizzes in Articulate Storyline 2 and have had some issues arise with staff not being able to access or open courses and/or quizzes we have uploaded to our Moodle platform.  We know they are working but wanted to know if there are known issues and fixes or if we need to instruct our staff to install anything special.

We have published the courses and quizzes in Offline versions would that work?

I can be reached by email at mzavattieri@internationalmedicalcorps.org

Thanks

Maggie

Hi Maggie! Thanks for reaching out!

Have you noticed that only some users are not able to access the courses through Moodle on a Mac? If it's just some users, my first thought would be to try and nail down what browser they are using. We'll want to verify that it's one of the supported Mac browsers listed here: Safari 7 or later, or the latest version of Chrome. We'll also want to verify that the users have Adobe Flash Player 10.3 or later if they are viewing Flash content.

Let's start there, and let me know what you find out!

Hello Alyssa,

Thank you for your quick reply and follow up!

There are only a few users that have Apples or Macs and it is a new issue for us. Most of our staff are placed globally and the internet connection is usually the biggest issue we face. I have passed your suggestions onto my colleague in Saudi Arabia and will wait to hear back from him.

I will reach out if they do not fix the issue.

Thanks again.

Best Regards,
Maggie
