Adding/Linking PDF files

Hello!
I am trying to link a PDF document that is on our shared drive by hyperlinking text to it in my Storyline 360 file (trigger Jump/to URL). I have saved the file in the content under story_content, zipped it back up and uploaded that to our LMS. I have checked and verified that the address that the file links to is exactly the same. I have also tried putting the PDF outside the storyline files, just in a typical file on the drive.
When I publish the content, I am getting a 404 error that the file can't be found. Any ideas here on how I can link a PDF document without linking to an actual webpage?

In Storyline, put just the pdf name in the link. don't add any path. After publishing, go to the published folder and place the pdf in the root of the folder where the story.html, etc files are.
