Is there any way to animate an arrow or line extending while still staying "anchored" in the same position? See the attached animation for an example of what I mean. I have attempted to use the Grow animation but it extends from the center of the shape rather than the left; thus far it looks like my only option is to animate it "by hand" using layers with different arrow sizes on them. Is that the case or is there an easier method I've overlooked?
The problem I'm having with that is that even zoomed into the maximum amount on the timeline, I can't get it quite as smooth as I'd like it to be in terms of the steps in the animation! I may be out of luck in terms of what I'm wanting the program to do but I can make this work, thank you for your help!
Captivate has "Stretch from" animations that work really well for this - I used Captivate for 10 years and recently switched to Storyline and I love storyline but find the animations and effects limiting and having to use a lot of workarounds.

One way you could do this is with frame-by-frame animation instead of using layers, see my very basic example attached.
The more steps you add in the smoother it will be.

Hi Shawna,
What do you think of this sample?
I created that by adding an arrow to the slide, and I covered the left portion with a rectangle that matches the slide background.
Would that work for your course?

GSAP and SVG that is the solution.
