We provide e-learning for a client and have recently combined separate SCORMs (1 per module) into a single large SCORM file in order to fix their results tracking.
However, upon testing the LMS won't seem to resume from last progress after a certain point in the training. In this case module 4 out of 7 (total SCORM has slides)
In anyone's experience is this an LMS problem or an articulate problem? Any other thoughts that I could try and test?
Are you publishing for SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004? The latter supports significantly more data. I had a project that when published for SCORM 1.2 exhibited the problem you described. Once I published for SCORM 2004, the LMS properly tracked and resumed the course.
You can read more information about the suspend data limits here and you may also want to look at testing it in SCORM Cloud to see how that behaves as well for a baseline of SCORM standards.
Or the suspend data limits as Ashley mentions - go to admin > plugins > activities > SCORM find the setting "Enable SCORM 1.2 standard mode" and make sure the checkbox is not ticked. This will allow your SCORM package to store more data than the SCORM specification allows.
Thanks for the replies. Yes we are currently publishing in SCORM 1.2 which might explain the suspend data limits as you've explained. I'll give the suggestions and go and fingers crossed this solves the problem.

Hi Desire,

there are 2 things I'd check in Moodle.
Are you being passed into "review" mode on the re-entry? - could be due to this:
https://docs.moodle.org/en/SCORM_FAQ#Moodle_changes_cmi.core.lesson_status_from_.22completed.22_or_.22passed.22_to_.22failed.22
Or the suspend data limits as Ashley mentions - go to admin > plugins > activities > SCORM find the setting "Enable SCORM 1.2 standard mode" and make sure the checkbox is not ticked. This will allow your SCORM package to store more data than the SCORM specification allows.
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the replies. Yes we are currently publishing in SCORM 1.2 which might explain the suspend data limits as you've explained. I'll give the suggestions and go and fingers crossed this solves the problem.
Thanks!
