Arabic support

Jun 22, 2018

Hi there,

I would like to again ask regarding Arabic support for articulate. I am working on an Arabic course and it is extremely frustrating that the harakaat (diacritic marks) do not space properly in published files.

Please can I have a solution?

Regards,

Suleman

Really sorry you've run into this, Suleman. I'd love to help out, and brilliant move on also opening a support case! While our team reviews your experience, I have a few questions in the meantime:

  • What version of Storyline 360 are you using?
  • Do you notice this discrepancy in Preview as well, or only after the file is published? Can you also share how you published your course – Web, LMS, or something else?
  • Does the spacing issue happen on all browsers or a particular one?
  • Would you be willing to share your .story file with our team so we can run some tests?

We'll be standing by!

Hi there Katie,

Thanks for your reply.

1. I've just updated to the latest version.
2. The issue occurs in preview and published output. I am publishing the course for web.
3. It seems to occur on all browsers. I've tried Microsoft Edge and Chrome.
4. I'll share a test .story file with you.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Suleman,

Great news!  We just released another update for Articulate 360 and included a few important fixes and new features.

The item you'll be interested in a fix for the Harakat spacing issues in the published files. Please note that we're still experiencing some issues with Firefox, but Chrome should be working well!

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for each application. Details here.
