Can you confirm which version of Windows 7 is installed on your laptop?
You can check this by clicking the Start button, then right-click Computer, then click Properties.
A window will pop up that reads, "View basic information about your computer." If you have a Service Pack installed, this will be listed in the information underneath the "Windows edition."
