Yes, you can attach a document for users to download from the course itself. Just hyperlink the text or an image and choose the file from your local drive. Just remember that the file name (or the file path) is not very long.
Upon publishing, the attached file (Word/PDF) is then saved in your Output folder: story_content\external_files
