I have a short 4-slide, 2 minute safety tip that I'm trying to publish.
On slide 2 the audio and closed captioning work, but does not work when I publish and initially review that slide. If I hit the replay button, both the audio and CC work.
The other slides have audio/cc as well, and work when in preview and when published.
I've reloaded the audio, tried triggering the audio at timeline start, but nothing seems to work. I'm perplexed.
Some modern browsers no longer allow audio to autoplay. If you have audio on the first slide or set it to advance automatically (which is how you set your project up), the browser will expect the user to click.
Here are two workarounds:
Set the first slide to advance only when learners click a button or interact with it in some way.
Insert silent audio on the first slide to trigger the Play button. You can use Storyline's Record Mic option for this.

Clarification. Slide 2 works in preview, but not when published.
