Audio Edits Don't Save for Me Either

Dec 06, 2023

I doubt this post will see the light of day, but here goes.

When I edit audio, it never saves correctly.  The old file plays even though the sound file shape on the timeline clearly shows the edit. This isn't a random problem as it happens to everyone I work with.  Thank the powers that be I have Adobe Audition to save me, but it's a time-wasting solution.

I think I'm hoping against hope because the one place I saw a similar post, the thread was closed with only one reply from the company.

That sentence lets us all know this is a feature and not a bug.

Do you're users a favor and start working on the features they actually use and request. This is Microsoft-style behavior and not y'all are better than that.

Hi Richard,

Sorry to hear about your experience with editing audio in Storyline 360. I want to confirm that what you are experiencing is not expected behavior. Additionally, discussions are only closed either due to their age or if they are duplicates of existing posts.

With that being said, I took a look at existing issues and saw that this is not happening to majority of our users so there's a chance that the issue is specific to your working environment. You'll want to make sure that you are working locally when making edits to your project file, as working directly on a network has been known to cause issues with saving. If you are already working locally, try doing a repair of your Storyline 360 installation to address the behavior.

If the issue persists, open a case with our support team here so we can take a closer look at what's happening.
