I have a quiz that has audio on the Correct, Incorrect and Try Again layers. When I click Submit without answer the question, the audio on the Incorrect and Try Again layers plays simultaneously after I click OK on the dialog box that tells me I have to answer the question.
Why is this happening and what can I do to stop it?
We have this issue documented and are looking into a fix. I'll add this conversation to the bug's report so we can keep you in the loop with any new information.
For now, the workaround is to add a trigger to "Play media (audio) when the timeline begins on the Correct/Incorrect layer." Let us know if that helps!
This might be a silly question, but do we have to republish courses to have this fix deployed to existing ones? Also, now we do not have to input triggers to make the audio stop if you move to another layer right?
Hi Jessica! Not a silly question at all. Yes, you'll want to republish courses using the latest Storyline 360 update to take advantage of the bug fix in existing courses.
And, that's correct! You no longer need to create triggers to stop the audio on other layers. Simply using the "hide other slide layers" setting will do the trick.
Yes, that's right, Jessica! If the base layer has audio that you need to pause when the slide layer opens, use the Pause timeline of base layer setting in Layer Properties.

Great news! We just released another update for Articulate 360, and included a few important fixes that you'll see in the release notes here.
The item you'll be interested in is:
Fixed: Audio tracks from multiple layers could play simultaneously, even when the layers weren't open.
Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.

Hey Alyssa,
Thank you for the quick response. I can still have the base layer show right? We use a lot of layering on the base layer. (Drop-down menus)
Thanks!
