Audio Overlapping in Safari

Hi,

While viewing a course on LMS on Safari browser, I've randomly encountered an issue of audio overlapping at various instances.

This occurs if the slide has multiple audio in it.

If we visit the slide for the first time, no audio plays but rest of the slide plays fine.

If we pause and play again, all the audio starts playing simultaneously.

On revisiting the slide, it plays fine.

It plays fine while viewing the standalone version of course locally.

Let me know if anyone has a workaround for this.

Hi, Vaibhav. Sorry to hear you are encountering this inconsistency with the audio!

I'm happy to help you troubleshoot and figure out solutions. Tell me a bit more about your project:  

  • Does this problem happen on just Safari or other browsers as well?
  • Is this happening with other Storyline projects, or is it specific to one course?
  • Would you mind sharing a sample slide with me? I'll try to replicate the issue on SCORM Cloud and will delete it after troubleshooting. You can send that Storyline file to me privately in a case here.

Hi Katie,

  • This problem is Safari specific and we face it on LMS (not locally), if the slide has multiple audios in it.
  • I've checked it for other courses as well. It happens randomly, not specific to any particular slide or project. It usually happens if the slide has multiple audios in it.
  • This issue also replicates on SCORMCLOUD.

I will share a sample file with you.
