Available Memory Is Low Error

Oct 10, 2013

Hi guys

i have searched the forums on this and have not seen anything useful.

I have used Storyline a number of times and now when i press the Player button i get the following error-

Available Memory Low

It is strongly recommended that you close any unneeded applications and save your project.

This is the second time this has happened in the last 2 days and now i am going to have to re-import the powerpoints for the 3rd time and start all over again.

It worked originally, i closed storyline down and went back in to add another document and this is when the error occurred.

It is saved on my desktop and called U301 so very short file name. it is only 47 slides long, i have also tried to open it on my personal laptop and having the same problem. I have some slides that are over 100 to be working on soon and i cant have this happening.

Can anyone please help with this?

Many thanks

Jenny

i have used a program called ntcore that converts the 32 bit exe to allow it to take advantage of 4 gigs of ram.  i am sure this is in no way support by articulate by it has worked amazing.  before the program always crashed when it hit 900 mb ram.  i have had it hit as high as 1.8 gigs usage without crashing (yet).

keep in mind, this will only work if you have x64 windows.

You are welcome.

I am trying to post a question about Drag and Drop in forums and blogs but keep getting an IE can't display the page.

So....

Creating a sequence D&D.

Background is  colored, answer buttons appear white. No way to fill buttons with color?

Can I insert a picture in a button?

Can I resize a button so it doesn't run the width of the page? Can I widen a button so I can display the picture nicely?

Have been trying to make layers appear upon hovering or clicking on the button, no go.

No way to sub pictures for the buttons as the answers in the built in D&D sequence?

Any way to do this short of a bunch of triggers and variables?

Thanks.

I use the laptop to do video editing mostly and then save it onto an inhouse server when it is complete and it runs my video editing software perfect including when i am editing HD video.
