background gif state change with variable
Sep 04, 2019
Hi,
I am punching above my weight and need some assistance. I have created several gifs in Vyond and am using them as states for the background of the base slide.
I am trying to reveal one of the states depending on the user clicking through one or more of the challenges. So if they click the bug hotspot, they see the clean floor state. If they click the smoke hotspot, they see the clean stove state. If they have done both they see everything as clean.
I tried to set up T/F variables that adjust when they click through the challenges on the slide layers and reveal the appropriate state when one is true and the other is not true, or if both are true.
Sorry, this is a pretty convoluted explanation. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. What have I missed?
Thanks,
Martin

I'm not sure if that's what you wanted but have a look at the attached. I added a new variable that is toggled whenever a hotspot is clicked. Then I changed the slide triggers from 'When timeline starts' to "When variable changes".
I moved the something changed variable to the slide layers and it worked the way I wanted. I don't understand fully why it works but I will try to recreate that in the future. Thanks for the suggestion.
