Big problem with Saba LMS

Apr 04, 2018

Hi,

I'm having a big problem with displaying my lessons in Saba LMS. No matter if I use SCORM 1.2 or 2004, when I'm trying to run my lesson on Saba, it totally breaks down. Half of my buttons on the presentation layout just disappear although they are still clickable, text boxes are overlapping etc. No element of presentation works properly.

When I'm running it on Moodle or SCORM cloud - it all works perfectly. I've tried to change player template properties but the problem still appears.

Hope someone will be able to find some solution and help me with this problem.

Thanks and best regards!

Hi there Jan!

So sorry for the wonky behavior you're seeing in Saba! Thanks for letting us know you already tested in SCORM Cloud and Moodle, and good to hear it's working well in both of those environments.

Do you notice a difference in Saba if you change web browsers? Also, what version of Storyline are you using?

Thanks for the extra details, Jan! This one's a puzzle 🤔

In terms of next steps, we recommend enabling LMS debug mode and sharing that resulting log with Saba. LMS Debug Mode logs all communication between the course and the LMS, so Saba should be able to see why the course isn't appearing as expected.

If you don't mind, let us know what Saba suggests. That'll likely help other folks who run across this thread in the future!

Hello,

I wrote an email to Saba with this problem and now waiting for their response. In the meantime I would like to show you guys what is my problem about. As you can see on screenshot, the navigation bar at the top is totally broken and the lines of text box are kind of moved from their right places. I also attach the screenshot of how it should behave and how it behaves on Moodle or SCORM Cloud.

Hi Patrik,

I'm not sure if Jan is still subscribed here. You are welcome to reach out to the user directly via the 'Contact Me' option on the user profile if you do not hear back soon.

Is your course working as expected in SCORM Cloud as well? If not, we'd be happy to take a look and understand what issues you're running into.

Hello everyone!
I too am having difficulties with SABA.
When learners do their module, the reporting is random.
For one learner, the module is displayed complete when the learner has finished and for another person, it is displayed incomplete. Yet all users use the close module button to close the course.... No logic.
My clients ask me for fixes. But I have the impression that the problem is more with SABA.
(I am on Storyline 360)
Thanks at all
