Blank audio on some slides of Storyline

I've noticed this occurring on more than one occasion where we opening a Storyline file that I've been working on I get a message that an update to the file is available and am asked if I want to update it. Unfortunately thinking I should, I do agree and it updates. All looks fine until I've noticed that some of my recently recorded audio files on some slides show as placeholders on the timeline but they are blank, do not play any sound on preview, and have no way of opening them up to edit or anything. Why is this occuring?

Hi Kim,
Are you able to share a screenshot of the message you're seeing about an update to the file? The only messages that I could think of would be updating it from Storyline 1 to Storyline 2 or that there is an update available for the entire program such as from Update 5 to Update 6. If you're seeing something specific to a change in the file, could you be working from a network or USB drive? Working on a network drive or an external (USB) drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources. You'll want to review the information here in regards to working locally.
