Blurry Slider Images on Chrome for Mac

Jul 23, 2020

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has recently experienced cross browser issues specifically with Chrome for Mac. Most of the images I've created show perfectly fine on Chrome for Mac; however, I'm using an image created in illustrator on a for my scrollbar to create this moving background. This is the only image that shows pixelated in Chrome for Mac. It works perfectly fine in all other browsers including Chrome for Windows.

I'm wondering if it is an issue with this particular browser or an issue with using high-definition images as a scrollbar in Storyline 360. Have any of you run into a problem with Chrome for Mac compressing images and possibly has a fix? I saw a thread that mentioned exporting from illustrator as an .svg file, then importing then .svg to Powerpoint, then importing the Powerpoint slide into Storyline 360 solves for that issue, but was hoping I could find something less complex.

I have 36 files I would need to do this for... yikes! Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi Ricky,

Since SVG files are not currently one of the supported image types, using the method you described or converting it to another type would be your best bet.

We currently have a feature request on supporting SVG images, so I'll be sure to add you to the list and let you know when we have any progress to share!

Hello Ricky!

I've got great news for you! We just released another update for Articulate 360 and included a few important fixes you'll see in the release notes.

The item you'll be interested in is:

New: Import scalable vector graphics (SVGs) to Storyline 360 so images stay sharp when learners zoom in and out.

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.
