Bring the playback head back to a precise point
Nov 20, 2017
Hi,
it would be very important as it was in Flash and other tools to bring the playback head back to a precise point by managing the conditions set:
- The head runs in the timeline from start to finish.
- View all objects present for their duration.
- The head runs only forward without being able to return to previous positions.
- The new trigger must allow you to display the screen at the selected time by managing the conditions provided if present.
- This would avoid designing and implementing the logic and all the objects that serve to achieve the same result.
- That way it would be easier, you would make less mistakes and it would be faster to achieve the same effect.

Hi Stefano - I'm not using the same SL version as you so I can't see your file. Can you upload some screen shots? Sounds like maybe something that could be handled via layers (showing and hiding layers with different groups of objects) as appropriate?
Hi,
the SL version is 2.
The new trigger should allow you to play the file from a selected point, always managing the conditions

Hi Stefano!
It sounds like you'd like to see a new feature added to Storyline that would allow you to jump to a cue point on the timeline. That's a popular request, and I'll be sure to add your feedback to our report. If this feature gets added to Storyline, I'll pop back in here and let you know!
Thanks for letting us know how we can make things better. 😁
Hi Stefano!
Happy to share some good news with you!
We just released the newest version of Storyline 360 (Build 3.38.21779.0), which brings the Jump to Time Trigger! This feature allows you to create unique interactions by using triggers that jump to different times or cue points on the timeline. For more details on this, please check out this knowledge base article!
The next step is to update Storyline 360 by heading to your Articulate 360 desktop app and clicking "Update" next to Storyline 360.
As always, we are happy to answer any questions you have by posting in this discussion, or you can contact our Support Engineers directly.
