Browser inconsistencies causing play problems
Mar 23, 2016
Hi Gurus,
I am having constant headaches with our Storyline 2.0 modules in the Litmos LMS when my learners use IE or seemingly other browsers to Firefox.
When I test the modules using Firefox, they work perfectly (over our intranet or from home). When my learners do the modules, they stall, stop and they get stuck on screens that don't bring up the Next button or the next screen as programmed.
Litmos suggested that the older browsers have Flash player problems - ? Unfortunately, IE and Chrome are our standard browsers for my company.
Can anyone suggest a solution? I am getting so many complaints about this!
Thanks,
Victoria

Hi Hazel,
Could you share a sample of your course so that we can take a look. I know with IE, there are some animations that won't play which is an IE specific issue, but the Edge browser showing buttons in the wrong spot or missing is definitely a concern!
If you can upload the .story file here we'll take a look - you can attach it to a response by using the Add Attachment button at the bottom of the reply window here.
Also, make sure you're on the latest update of Articulate 360, which is update 12.
Thanks Ashley, further research highlighted the IE specific animation issue - so I know to be mindful of which animations I choose now.
Is there a way to send the file privately to check out the issues with Edge?
Hello Hazel,
Absolutely.
Anytime you wish to work with our support engineers privately, you can do so here.
Was the issue every resolved? I am having the same problem.
Welcome to eLearning Heroes, Justin!
Although I don't see a solution, I'm happy to keep digging! A few questions to start:
And with your permission, I can test your .story file to see what's happening. If that works for you, you can share the file privately with me here. I'll let you know what I find, and will delete it after troubleshooting.
