Button doubles on completed layer

Hello all,
I have a slide where I'm using layers. On the main slide, the user clicks on 5 buttons to go to other slides, then returns to the main slide. When all 5 of the buttons have changed states to visited, I am displaying a layer that allows the user to continue with the course. When all 5 of the buttons are changed to visited, however, the last button is doubling on the slide. I've attached a screenshot of what is happening for clarification. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

First I would look at the button states, and second I would look at the new layer that you are displaying. Can you attach a storyline file with just the one slide?
Sure can - The slide is attached.
Hi Lee,
Took a quick peek and deleted what I think is an extra trigger on the Continue Layer
It's at the bottom of the List: Group 1...show layer continue.... doesn't need to be here since you're already in the continue layer...at least I think that's it!
Thanks for the catch, Rebecca! I removed the additional trigger, but it is still occurring. I wonder if it is because of the timing of the buttons on the base layer?
Hi Lee,
Are you referring to the "additional solutions" button? Because I don't think it's doubling for me anymore At least I'm not seeing it like I was before
Lee,
I think the issue may also be that the buttons are duplicated on the new layer. If you want the user to not be able to click the buttons, but still be able to see them, you may want to consider one of two options.
Also, I would not duplicate the clipboard on the new layer. Just add a white box with text over it. This will save you some file size in the end
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Awesome Blake, that's exactly right. Still kind of new to adding layers, so this was a great learning moment for me.
