Evertime I create a button with Text not icons on the master slide it always shrinks the text to size 8 font when I Hover over. If I remove these buttons from the master slide and place them into a regular slide they work fine. The resize only happens on the master slide.
I also tried this on my own file, and am unable to replicate it. As Becky mentioned, you'll want to see if this is happening on all your files or just one - if it's just one file, I'd suggest importing it into a new Storyline project to see if that solves the odd behavior. If it's every project I'd suggest conducting a repair of Storyline. Additionally, I'd keep the following things in mind to prevent odd behavior:
Work on your local drive (your C: drive).Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, includingfile corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
You should also make sure the directory pathto your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters(for example C:\Articulate).
Avoid using special characters, accents orsymbols in your file names.
No it happens on all of my courses. If I use a button I have to leave it blank and within the states I insert a text box in each in order to make the button look like it is a text button.
Actually the text size drops down by 2 font sizes on hover. If I go into the states and edit the hover state and increase the font by 2 sizes it seems to be fine.
It sounds like you may have fixed it? If not, please let me know if you're able to conduct the repair. Also, if you'd like us to take a look at your .story file you're welcome to share it here. If you'd prefer to share it privately you can also send it to us here.

Hi Danny,
I'm not seeing the same thing happen. Is it on one particular file or all files?
Hopefully someone else will respond with their experience.

By going in and changing font size within the hover state fixes the issue. It is an extra step but thats fine with me. Thanks for the support.
Thanks Danny for the update, and I'm glad you've found a workaround.
