Buttons Stop the Hover Feature

I built several slides using the buttons from the control menu with the hover feature already in place. They worked just fine for a while, but now they no longer highlight when hovered over. Even if I select the button and manually add a trigger to change the state of the button to hover, the button still does not highlight. This is happening on all my slide pages and the only way I've found to fix the problem is to delete all the buttons and re-add them which is a total waste of time. Does anyone know a better way to fix this and even better, a way to prevent this from happening?

Hi Jeremy,
I just responded to another thread of yours, can you confirm you're working on local project files as described here?
Hey Jeremy,
Can you post a small section of the file that's causing you trouble? Tough to tell which buttons you're referring to. We can get you pointed in the right direction with a quick look at your file.
What file would I post? It's happening on my main slide that has both connections to other slides and layers. The triggers for hiding and jumping work, it's just the hovering.
Just the slide that has the hover problem would do the trick.
If you copy it into a new .story file (two instances of Storyline open) and the problem goes away, it could be a file hiccup. Deleting the slide and copying it back in, reconnecting your triggers would be a possible solution in that case.
