Issue with hover state

Mar 17, 2016

I have a situation where I have hover a hover state for some buttons. When hovered over it shows an image and a small piece of text indicating what topic they are about to hit. The problem is that when after they jump to a particular slide after clicking the button and they hover again the text sits on top of the hover image. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I've included a copy of my storyline file for anyone to take a quick look at. This issue is happening on slides 1.19, 1.20, 1.17 and 1.18. Thank you.

Hi Jesse,

I see that you're using a custom hover state - is there a reason you choose to not use the built in hover state? When using the custom hover state in connection with a hover trigger I know that other users have run into issues in the past with some unwanted behavior or views. Have you reviewed the information here in regards to how the built in states will behave?

I created a custom state as an experiment thinking it might help the situation. I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. I have two slides that behave correctly so I just copied the buttons from the good slides and replaced the buttons on the misbehaving slides and it seems to be working. I wish I knew what the difference was between the slides but I don't have time to devote to that right now. Thanks for the suggestion though.
