Can I merge sound files in the timeline?

Apr 17, 2014

I have slides that have narration recorded on them.  Some of the slides have narration had to be augmented and added in a separate sound file to the timeline.  Is there any way to merge the two sound files so that one just follows the other, but not as separate sound files in the timeline?

Hi, Jennifer: If you wanted to truly merge the files (put one inside of the other), I'm thinking you'd need to do that in Audacity or some other audio program. But you can have two separate files on the timeline that overlap. Of course, you may need to go into the audio editor and do some cutting. Let me know if you need more help. --Daniel

Hi Bushra, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊

I appreciate you chiming in with what you are experiencing.

I tested Michael's solution in the latest version of Storyline 360, Build 3.58.26627.0, and it works as expected.

You mention that your audio was replaced, so I'm curious if you moved the timeline marker/indicator to the end of the first audio clip?
