Can learners print slides?

Jun 14, 2016

Hello,

I did a search for old posts, and saw many people struggling with this 3-4 years ago so I'm hoping there's some new tricks out there.

Can learners print individual slides from a course? I am using a likert scale (survey) as a self-assessment, and I'd like learners to be able to print those slides for their notes. Likewise, at the end of the course I have check-boxes for them to set goals for themselves, and I'd like them to be able to print that slide as well.

One alternative I came up with was attaching Word or PDF documents to the course as references that have the same content, but then learners would have to check off the same boxes again on those forms.

In some old posts it looked like using javascript to print slides was a common suggestion, but I also see that Articulate doesn't support javascript. I have never used javascript so I am not sure I would know what to do.

Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Hi Laurel,

Storyline doesn't have a built in functionality to allow for the printing of slides, so again you'd need to use the information you've seen previously in terms of the Javascript to print the slide or window. You can read the basic Javascript elements here including some information you could use to set this up.
