Can't select one particular slide in Storyline menu

I have a one-slide scene in my course. In the Menu, this slide shows up in its proper place in relation to the other slides. However, even though I have set the menu navigation to Free, for some reason I can't directly select that one slide to jump to it. I need to either go to the slide before it and click NEXT, or the slide after it and click PREV. Also, it never gets "grayed out" to show it has been selected.
The properties for this slide are no different from any other slide, as far as I can see. The only thing that distinguishes this slide is that it's the only one in that particular scene. I really would like to keep it that way, because it serves as a kind of transition between other scenes in the course.
Any ideas?

Actually, never mind. I figured out what to do to make it work, even though it meant showing the title twice.
Since the scene title was the same as the slide title, I had deleted one of them to avoid the duplication. I put it back, and now I can click that slide from the menu.
