When the learner clicks an attachment to my course, it opens in their web browser. I need it to open in Acrobat as it is a form. I have the settings on the original document set to open with Acrobat but Storyline seems to change that when published. Is there any way around this? Thanks in advance!
It's a browser preference and must be reset by the user. It would be really simple to tell them to save the file when the webpage displays it; as opposed to directing them to:
In IE
Quit Internet Explorer, if open Start Acrobat or Adobe Reader Select Edit > Preferences Select Internet in the list on the left Deselect "Display PDF" in Browser, and click OK Restart Internet Explorer
In Chrome
In the Chrome address bar, type: chrome://flags Search for “NPAPI” and enable it Relaunch Chrome In the Chrome address bar, type chrome://plugins Disable Chrome PDF Viewer Enable the Adobe Acrobat/ Adobe Reader plugin
In Firefox
Click the menu button(burger icon) New Fx Menu and choose Options Select the Applications panel Find Portable Document Format (PDF) in the list and click on it to select it Click on the drop-down arrow in the Action column for the above entry and select the PDF viewer you wish to use

Select the Applications panel
Find Portable Document Format (PDF) in the list and click on it to select it
Click on the drop-down arrow in the Action column for the above entry and select the PDF viewer you wish to use
That's wonderful advice. Thank you so much for taking the time.
