cannot click on quiz questions

Hello - I am new to Storyline and learning how it works. I am having a problem that I need help with :). 

I created a quiz and created a submit button for each question.  The quiz was working fine in my testing but I then noticed Storyline has its own Submit button. I experimented with the Storyline Submit button but decided I wanted to use the button I created. I unchecked the Storyline Submit button in the Slide Properties and deleted the triggers. From that point on, only the first quiz question will allow input and all the other quiz questions won't accept input...the radio buttons are not clickable.

I tried going back to using the Storyline Submit button with the same results. It works fine in Preview mode in case that provides some insight. I do not have anything blocking the buttons like a transparent image.  Does anyone have any ideas??
