Cannot view course on iPad

Hi,

I'm hoping there is a simple solution for the issue I'm having today.  I published with the following options checked:

  • Include HTML 5 output
  • Use Articulate Mobile Player on iPad
  • Allow downloading for offline viewing

I then post it on our Intranet for access via vpn from safari on my iPad. 

I have also already downloaded the Articulate Player from the app store.

When I click the link in safari on the ipad (story.html) the Launch page will show for a few seconds, then it switches to the "Get the free Articulate Mobile Player app" screen for visiting the AppStore.  I have already downloaded the player, but clicked the link anyway for "AppStore" or "Download".  The reaction to that is it will flip back to the Launch page for the story and then back to the "Get the free Articulate Mobile Player app".  It just loops back around and around the same two pages. 

Any suggestions?

Hi Kirstin and welcome to Heroes! 

This sounds like odd behavior, and I'd suggest testing it a few different ways to determine what is causing this for you:

  • Check that you're using the most up to date Mobile Player, version 2.15
  • Can you publish your course to a site such as Tempshare and see if you're able to access that on the iPad? If so, it could be getting caught up in the VPN. For information on how the course determines which version to show, please review this article. 
  • Publish a version (even just a sample project) without the Mobile player option and again without the HTML5 to see if you're able to access the course through Safari or the Mobile player respectively
