change of font in notes not working

Jan 24, 2017

I am having an issue with the size/font of my Notes not working when the project is published.

When I preview the font is fine (Arial 10), but once published the Notes field appears bold. (I have renamed Notes tab to Audio. This slide normally has voiceover but I've cut it out to keep the size small - the tab is a transcript).

I've attached my storyline file, and the following link will take you to a published version http://childcarecollege.com.au/learning/notesfontissue/story_html5.html

I am using SL2 (reinstalled last Friday to see if that works), and publishing to HTML5. I've tested on both Google Chrome and Internet Explore.

Thanks for any help!

Hi Sarah

i tested your file and found the same issue.  I then published to flash and html5 in 360 and there are differences again.  I know there were issues with html5 font in SL2 specifically with Arial and kerning but I hadn't seen the bold issue reported.

Hopefully someone can chime in with a workaround for you.

Hi Sarah,

There is a known issue with Storyline 2 in HTML5 where the text in the notes tab loses correct formatting, including font size and spacing. I know that we’ve had this issue on our radar for awhile, and we continue to share all of your feedback with our QA team. I’ll post any updates here in this discussion when I have more information!

Thanks Wendy and Alyssa, as always help on the forum is quick and useful!

Wendy, I have 12 affected module so am just going through trying to work out which are corrupted. I tried the import into a new project and it does seem to work for most, so that will save me a lot of time. In future I think I'll save new versions every day or a couple of times a day!! (I have just been doing it with major changes but all the small fiddly changes and saving/publishing seems to be what's got me into trouble.)

Thanks again,
Sarah

Hi Wendy,

Thanks for calling that to my attention. I created a new Storyline 360 file to double check this, and I am seeing differences in the notes tab formatting in Flash vs. HTML5 in both Chrome 55 and IE 11. We do not have a report on this yet for SL360, so I will share this information with Quality Assurance.

Hi all,

Great news! Articulate 360 Update 4  was just released, and included a number of fixes which you can see in the release notes available here.  The item you all may be particularly interested in is how it fixed an issue where notes formatting wouldn't display in HTML5 output.

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.
