Changing the Next button on the last slide

Feb 16, 2013

I wanted to change the Next button to "Finish: on the last slide of a module, but I know Storyline doesn't offer that ability.  Did anyone have any creative ways to end a module?

Just disable it!

  • Create your own buttons all the way through - then you can do what you want....
  • Use slide text/voice to instruct your learners - much nicer than a button.
  • I recently just put an image of a cup of coffee on the last slide.
  • Tell them to go off and "do" something.

Would be nice to customise the system buttons, but it's not really a problem that you can't.

Bruce, I had a similar problem and the solution I adopted was to have a final slide which thanked students and informed them that they had completed the course. I then simply linked the next button to the start slide so if they chose to press the button it simply took them back to the beginning. I agree that it would be useful to be able to alter the text on individual buttons.
