Changing variable built-in ID

Hi,

I used the same .story file for more 2 different projects/courses (duplicating the .story file)

They both have same variables with unique functionalities to each project

Now i need to import these (more than 2) projects/.story into a single storyline .story file.

But when i import them i am not getting the popup to replace or rename the variables with the same name.

(i am assuming that since the variables come from the same .story file, the variable unique ids might be same, and therefore i am not getting the popup to replace or rename)

is there a solution to this - so that when i import the .story files in the same file, i MUST be asked to replace or rename the variables

Thanks for reaching out!

I tested this on my end and can confirm that no prompt appears when a copy of the project is imported into the original. If a variable with the same name is imported from a project that isn't a copy of the original, then a number is appended to the imported variable to indicate that it shares the same name with another variable in the project.
