Character disappearing when I publish

Hi there,
I have a couple slides in my presentation with multiple characters in them. When I look at it in edit mode all of the characters are there from beginning to ending of the timeline in each layer and when I preview it they are there as well. BUT...when I publish the training I have two different characters that pop in and out through two different slides.
I haven't copied and pasted anyone because I know that can be an issue. To get the characters I selected to "insert" character and have done the same thing for many other slides with no issues. I can't find or even think of any way to make them stay during the slides once published.
Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas?

That IS odd. By any chance can you upload the slides, or one of them?
Are these the illustrated characters or photographic characters? I've learned that sometimes manipulating (cropping) the illustrated characters can have strange results.
I can upload one next week but the file is in use right now; I have been trying different things all day and republishing to see if anything works.
It is an illustrated character. I don't recall if I cropped it or not. I might have. Should I just delete it and readd it without cropping if I can? I will have to see if the "scene" will work without cropping the characters.

I'm just checking in to see how things we're progressing with your Storyline course. If you're able to try inserting a new character that is not cropped let us know. Also, as Becky mentioned we're happy to take a look at your Storyline file.
