Chinese characters not displaying properly when publishing in SCORM 1.2

Jan 21, 2019

I am using Articulate Storyline 360 and created a training with Chinese characters on screen and in the notes.

When I publish it to SCORM 1.2 and open it in my browser (IE) using either story_flash or story_html, some of the characters display incorrectly.

Hi there - Actually, I had asked the Dev team at the translation company we use and they asked what font I used (mostly Arial and Calibri).  They suggested to use one of these fonts:

  • Arial Unicode MS
  • PMingLiU
  • SimSun
  • SimHei

As soon as I changed the Arial font to Arial Unicode MS, it worked!  And then I was able to change the fonts on the entire project in one click, so...all done!
