Choice of result slides for LMS?

Aug 10, 2015

I have a large compliance course that I have created.  There is a "test out" option near the beginning that is randomly drawing from the same pool of questions as the final exam.  If they fail the "test out" exam twice, it forces them to go through the material like everyone else and then they get a to take the final at the end as many times as needed until they pass.

This has created essentially 3 different results slide locations, any of which could be the "You passed" slide that ends the course.

How do I create an overall result slide for my LMS that looks at all 3 and only cares if you pass one of them?

I can attach it if necessary, but it is fairly large.

Thanks!

Bill

Hi Bill,

You can only report one results slide to an LMS - but you can as you mentioned create a results slide that tracks all the results slides. Your option when doing so will be:

  • User must pass each quiz: Select this option if learners must pass each individual quiz (represented by the tracked result slides) in order to pass the overall course (represented by the final result slide). If learners fail any quiz in the course, then they fail the entire course.
  • Combine points from each quiz: Select this option if you want the scores from all tracked result slides to be added together as the final score for the course, then enter a percentage in the Passing Score field. In this scenario, a learner could fail one or more of the individual quizzes and still pass the overall course.
