Choose many not limiting number of tries

Apr 16, 2013

I used the choose many template to create a check your knowledge screen.  I want the student to be able to try 3 times to get it right.  I set the original layer to reset when visited.  The try again lets them try again three times, however the choices they previously selected remain in tact.

In the screen shot below I have chosen wrong and clicked Try Again.  The item I chose remains chosen for my retry:

Hi there Tracy!

One option would be to apply a trigger to the "Try Again" button that changes the objects to their "Normal" state (instead of "Selected") when the user clicks on the button. This way, when they return to the main question slide, the objects will no longer be selected and they can start over.

Here's a quick example:

Here's how I have the triggers set up:

I'm also attaching the example file, just in case you'd like to take a closer look at how I set this up.

I hope this works for you! Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Christine
