Combining English (left to right) and Arabic (right to left) languages in one course

Nov 17, 2020

Hi,

I have a task of creating a course in English, but to build a language selector within the course where the user can choose to complete it in Arabic instead. It must be within one course.

I know I can choose to have the course text direction to be left to right or vice versa.

But is it possible to set it so that when the language variable is set to English, the text is left to right, and when the variable is set to Arabic, the text direction changes to right to left?

If I just paste in the translated text, full stops and grammar etc isn't in the correct places.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks
James

Hi James!

I appreciate you returning with your findings! We don't currently offer a trigger and variable combination to change the language from left to right or right to left. However, your workaround seems to do the trick! Thanks for taking the time to share this with us. I know it will be so helpful for others who are looking to do the same thing.
