Am getting this at the moment with several courses.
The ONLY thing I just changed (since a completely successful compile) was inserted 2 x Polish phrases into the Player.
I have made no changes to audio, yet the error refers to .mp3 files?
Could do with some diagnostics please - had this yesterday with French courses too. Does not seem to have any effect on the output. I can post the .story file(s), but not on open forum.
I'm not sure if Polish would cause this type of issue, but without checking it out, it's hard to say what's behind this. If you're not able to share the files here, can you submit them to us in a case, please? Also, please share the case number with me, if possible.
Thanks very much, Bruce! Looks like we got it. Hopefully we'll be able to find something out. If you run into this again with additional audio files, I'm sure that'd be helpful too. If not, maybe we can try some testing with similar files and figure out what caused this.
I'm having the exact same issue with Turkey. I thought it was the Turkish .mp3 file. Once it was inserted, I never recieved the "Play" button. When I play the mp3 by itself it is fine. When I try to preview it gives the attached error message. Course publishes fine, but when attempting to play there is no sound. Mystery to me...
Are your files saved on the local hard drive, and are you publishing to the local drive as well? When creating, editing, or publishing a Storyline project, be sure you're working from your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working from a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes you've made to your project, and loss of resources.
If you are working with local files, or if you move the files and still see this error, are you able to replicate the issue if you insert audio into a new Storyline project?

Thanks Christine.
I will only be able to submit exactly what I have here - because I had to deliver, so resolved by deleting all audio content.
Not an ideal solution, but the content was ultimately going to be replaced anyway, so not a major issue.
