Complex Quiz

Hello...
We have a somewhat complex project and are not sure how to approach it best.
It will be a quiz with a "menu" page from where you can access all the questions directly. It should show the points on the menu page and, depending on the score, some additional elements.
The individual questions will be scored differently (1 point, 2 points, etc.), including negative points, if answered incorrectly, on one of them.
Furthermore, the questions are divided into topics, from which you always have to answer at least one question correctly.
If the minimum score is not reached or all questions of a category are answered incorrectly, you have to start again.
The questions themselves are rather straightforward. It's the dynamic menu and scoring that I'm worried about.
It would be great if someone could nudge me in the right direction.

Thanks for chiming in. I'm still starting out and unfortunately don't have anything to show yet. But after looking at a few tutorials and dissecting a few templates, I think I have an idea of how to setup my variables for this to work. The jeopardy 360 course was a good starting point.
I'll get back to you when I have more specific questions.
