Score points on LMS, using Articulate Storyline 360

Sep 19, 2023

We have a set of SCORMs, each SCORM has three quizzes. Each quizz has question bank of 15 to 25 questions and questions are randomly chosen. Each question is worth 5 points. If you score full points in the first quiz you will go to next quiz. If you score full points in the second quiz you will move to the third quiz. If you dont score full points or you pass the third quiz, you will moved to page which is set as result page where all scores are added and the score is submited to the LMS.

We observed that if we have less than full points users are getting decimal scores eg 4.995000000000001 or 19.9975.

Has anyone experianced this issue? Please share your knowladge.

Thank you

Hi Martin,

I'm sorry to hear you've hit this snag with decimals in the score! I have not seen this issue before.

Have you tried testing your course in a different LMS to confirm if the behavior you're experiencing is specific to your LMS? SCORM Cloud is a great environment that you can use for this purpose. Here's how to test your course on this platform:

If you can replicate the behavior in SCORM Cloud, would you be willing to upload a copy of your Storyline project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can look at it? We'll delete it when we're done testing!
