Is there a way to disable the NEXT button on the player until the leaner has completed the activity on the slide? In Storyline 1 I had to hide the nav buttons on the player and make my own nav buttons on the slide in order to control that. But, I though Storyline 2 had a way to to that with the player buttons.

Yes, in Storyline 2 you can now use triggers (just like you would do for any other button/object) to disable/enable the player bar buttons.

Add a trigger to your slide that sets the Next button's state to Disabled when the slide's timeline starts.
