Converting a Rise Module into storyline

Dec 24, 2021

I have a SME who has built a very extensive rises module and has now passed it to the L&D team to work their magic.

What they are asking for ( narration etc.) would be easy to do in storyline.  the question is.  Can you import into storyline from Rise in the same way you can bring in something like a powerpoint.

thanks in advance for any help, or at least the confirmation that it can't be done easily.

Hello Ari,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you would like to create.

Importing from Rise 360 to Storyline 360 is not a software feature, but you can embed your Rise 360 content as a web object

You can add narration to Rise 360 using any block that supports audio

You can add a multimedia audio block below or above the block that needs narration for blocks that don't support audio.

Hi,

I'm trying to do something similar. I've developed a solution in SL, and I want to add something that was developed in RISE, rather than rebuilding it in SL. I exported the RISE interaction as a web object, but when I go to SL to insert the RISE web object it does not display in my downloads. I know it is user error, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Pleas advise.

Hi, Karel.

Thank you for reaching out!

When you export from Rise 360 to web, the download comes as a zip file, usually named the same as your course. You need to extract the package first, which will give you a folder called content. In Storyline, point it to that content folder in the web object window.

I hope this helps!
