I have some files that do not open and I do not understand why!!
Storyline says "This project is invalid or is corrupt and can not be opened. It may have been created in an earlier version of Soryline." In my memory, it was Storyline 2.
You can find a temp file in this location: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
Just check the folder for your supposed file name, copy it to your desktop and change the .temp extension to .story. Remember, you might find multiple versions of the temp file, so copy the latest one.
Mélanie, Please contact Articulate support for further assistance.
I came across similar issue twice - once I lost all my work and the other time, I found a .temp file from the path I suggested. However, feel free to attach your file, if it's small in size, I'll try to open it.
Oh no, Mélanie! That's never a good message to see. Here's a quick Peek at how to find your temp files on Windows.
File corruption can happen, even in the best software, and even if you’re following all the recommended best practices. To be ready if it happens, follow these tips.

Thank you Alyssa but I had already tried this method.
The temporary file did not exist :(
I do not understand, it works on my colleague's computer but not on my own.
It does not matter, he gave me a copy of the file and it's good.
Whew, your colleague saved the day! Glad you're back up and running.
