counting / reporting the number of exam attempts

Dec 11, 2013

hi,

I have a course that has multiple quizzes throughout, at the end of each course section.

The results are set to be reported from a results slide at the end of the course, which is working well.

However, if a learner exits the course at any stage and resumes, it seems to be counting this as an exam attempt.

This has resulted in a number of complaints from users as they are not able to complete the quizzes as are tryign to do a section of teh course when they have time, in between other tasks (not ideal but what we have to work with!!)

I would like the exam attempt only to be counted if the learner has viewed the results slide - how can I achieve this?

regards

Sacha

Hi Sacha,

You'll want to check how you've set up reporting to your LMS based on reaching the particular slide or when the Results are submitted.   If you'd like to ensure it happens on a specific slide, you could use this method.  If your LMS is not tracking properly though, I'd suggest reviewing this article with some troubleshooting steps and also test the course within SCORM Cloud to see if you're able to replicate the behavior. If not, that's something you'll want to share with your LMS team.
