Course 'Suspend Data' different in Flash vs HTML5

Aug 25, 2017

Hello Articulate Team and Community,

We are having issues with clients starting a course in IE and then resuming in Chrome. When resuming the course, the course resets to the beginning instead of resuming where it left off.

We are finding that the Flash version of the course sets slightly different values for 'suspend data' than it does with the HTML5 version. The HTML5 state does not interpret the 'suspend data' that is created by Articulate published courses and therefore sends the user back to the beginning. We are running a Rustici based LMS system and this issue has been confirmed by them as an issue with Articulate’s software.

Is there a reasoning behind setting different values for suspend data? We need this issue resolved ASAP as this is impacting our clients.

Thank you

Hello Brent!

Sorry to hear that you've run into difficulty with this.

I know we had an issue with HTML5 content not resuming as expected within an LMS that was corrected in Update 7.
