Course with 2 tests and branching. How can I get it to complete based on either track?

Jan 04, 2017

So I have a course I have built that has the full course and a test for new physicians.   The other part of the course has a pre-test that must be passed.  If you pass the pre-test you can take a shortened version of the course called a refresher.  If you don't pass you are forced to view the full length course.  How can I get storyline 2 to complete the course regardless of which path the learner takes?

Hi Keithia

I did it once this way...http://www.tracyparish.ca/2013/02/creating-and-tracking-a-storyline-course-with-multiple-quizzes.html

It's not perfect by any means, but is an alternative way that you could try to make it work within the confines of the program.

There are certainly other ways that you might be able to capture variables and use javascript to push out to somewhere.  Other experts in java in the community might have some ideas for you as well.

yes the javascript on the course exit button worked.  So now no matter which path you take the course completes.  It works because you can't get to the course exit button until you pass the test in the full course nor until you take the pre-test and pass and thus allowing you to go to the refresher course.  I found this solution in this article:

there is a video of the javascript you use for the trigger.
