Creating a pop up message to go along with course restrictions

Mar 26, 2015

Hello,

I am working on a course with 4 modules and the goal is for the learner to finish each module before advancing to the next. I have created the restrictions; however, I would like to display a message that informs the user that they must complete the previous module before moving forward...so far what I've tried isn't working. I tried to add to the variable that I already created, but I don't see any option to have a pop message displayed. Any advise will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Use a T/F variable to track the completion for each module, and create a layer on the master slide with a popup message to let people know they must complete the module to advance. You will set a trigger to adjust the T/F variable to T on the last slide of the module and then you set the trigger on the master slide to, "Show Layer (popup layer) when user clicks the NEXT button (or insert navigation button here) IF T/F variable = F"
