Customised buttons not clickable
Jul 22, 2020
Hello
I have a weird issue with a presentation. I've created customised buttons to move onto the next slide, but they are not clickable for some reason.
I've tried the following fixes:
- Reimporting the slides into a new SL file
- Placing a transparent shape over the button and using this as the next trigger instead of the button
- Recreating the buttons
The buttons appear to work on preview when default, but when the formatting is changed, or the button moved to another area on the slide, the clickable function seems to stop.
File attached. The first scene shows the issue. Note Slide 1.1 has a transparent shape instead of the button as the trigger. All other slides use a button as the trigger, but are not clickable.

This looks like the same issue discussed here.
Hi Leonie,
Thanks for contacting us and sharing what you are experiencing with your project and for sharing the .story file for us to take a look.
The issue you are seeing does seem similar to the issue Michael linked to, but previewing the entire course and/or publishing does not seem to alleviate the issue in your project.
I've opened a support case on your behalf for one of our support engineers to dig in and help you.
Great, thank you!
Hi Leonie,
I noticed that your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if you would like by clicking Edit beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help!
Our team will be in touch soon regarding your support case!
I've managed to fix this issue by moving the buttons further up the slide. As mentioned in the other thread, it seems to be an issue with items positioned near the bottom of the slide. It's obviously not a permanent solution, but at least one that I can work with for this particular project.
Many thanks
