Data entry fields
Jul 18, 2013
Hi everyone!
I'm having some difficulty with data entry boxes, I hope someone can help.
In my course, there are 2 data entry boxes. The learner is asked to type in their comments into the first one. This works fine.
I'd like the second box to display the text the learner typed into the first box, and allow them to overtype it if they want to.
Has anyone any suggestions if this is possible please?
Many thanks!

Hi Mark:
When the user enters info into the data entry box. That is all you can do on one slide for user input. That data entry will automatically populate a variable named TextEntry.
What you do then, is create a text box and put the the variable name in it.
So if you delete the second Data Entry box and replace it with a text box, then enter %TextEntry% in that text box, the users information wil display there.
Hope this helps.

That wont let you overtype it, just add a reference to the data entry field
Oh...
My reading skills have failed me there. Sorry.

Thanks for your quick replies.
I've added the reference of the first box into the second box. When the project runs, all that appears in the second box is %TextEntry%. The actual text that the user enters does not appear.
I'll try figure out a workaround.
Thanks guys.
