Difficulties setting up a jump from a YES/NO slide to other slides based on triggers and learner response

Mar 31, 2023

What I am trying to achieve is:

Option 1:
If the learner answers the two questions by "No", then they should be directly redirected to the slide 1.5

Option 2:
If the learner answers one of the below questions by "Yes", then they should be directly redirected to the Pick Many slide which is on slide 1.4

What is currently happening:
* When the learner answers the two questions by "No", then they are being redirected to the Pick Many slide which is on slide 1.4  instead of the declaration on slide 1.5 - which is the wrong order.

Anyone experienced this error before? Do you have any idea on how to fix it? I think what's happening is that storyline is following the slide order instead of triggers.

Hi Judi,

You'll need to add two more things to your course if you would like the responses to be recorded in your LMS.

  1. In Slide 1.3 (I used the file provided by Wendy), you'll need to add a 'Submit Interaction' trigger to the slide
  2. You'll also need to add a Results Slide. Results Slides send reporting and tracking information to learning management systems, including learners' responses and scores. You can read more about Results Slides here.

Once you have these two setup, you can test your course in SCORM Cloud or your organization's LMS to see if you will see your learner's responses appearing in the reporting section of the LMS.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Judi

Sorry I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve.

Are there any more questions in this quiz? Is the correct answer to MC1 - yes or no?Is the correct answer to MC2 - yes or no? What is the correct answer for the pick many? You don't have anything selected in form view to let SL know what the correct/incorrect responses are.

Hi Wendy,

These are in the form of survey questions, so there's no right or wrong answers. The LMS will only record the answer that the learner chooses.

Yes, there are a lot of questions that follow but I just shared the ones where I am having issues. I am not able to share the actual questions as they are private info.
